Cart and walking wear areas

A member and I came up with solutions to repair some wear areas on the course. Dz has helped us with some projects in the past. He is responsible for the new range poles, range tee deviders and signs on the course. He and I have came up with ideas to improve some wear areas throughout the course. We are starting on #15 walking path behind the green. The plan is to convert the railroad ties to pavers. The crew has removed the ties today as well as backfilled the holes. This area will be roped off until the project is completed. Thanks to all the volunteers in advance for you efforts.

Preemergent for crabgrass and goosegrass

We are spraying preemergent for crabgrass and goosegrass. If you haven't done it yet it would be a good time for you to as well. It is  a sign to put out your preemerge when the Forsythia is about to bloom or just has bloomed and before the Dogwoods bloom. This is a picture if bloomed Forsythia.

The tall fescue rough areas

We have mowed down the tall fescue rough areas on the course. We are going to maintain these areas more this year. I am going to implement a weed control program so that these areas do not get inundated with those tall obnoxious weeds we've had in the past.

#11Bunker Update

We are almost done with this project. We were slowed down in February with all the bad weather but the only thing left to do is sodding. Its been raining all morning and the "frog pond" is not filling up.

Out spraying some winter weeds

Spraying winter weeds such as PoaAnnua, Green Kalinga, Winter Rye to name a few. If you were wondering the white dots are, they are foam drops so I know where I've sprayed and not there just to make it hard to find your ball.
