Greens
We had an outbreak of Dollar Spot (Helmenthosporium) on the greens this week. This specific fungi has been an ongoing issue this summer. I have been using different fungicides to combat the pathogen thinking that the fungus was building up a resistance to the chemicals. With this outbreak we decided to get a little more aggressive with our treatment and gear more towards a soil treatment. In order to do that I spiked the greens then applied a fungicide and watered it in which we refer to as a "drench". I then applied a foliar or "contact" fungicide which should kill the fungus. We have fertilized recently which should promote more growth to heal the patches on the greens.
